doTERRA Breaks Multiple Records at Annual Global Convention

doTERRA, the world’s leading global essential oils company, made history by hosting the largest single-company convention in Utah, with more than 30,500 essential oil enthusiasts from 68 countries in attendance physically and an additional 10,000 people who attended via livestreaming. The 2017 doTERRA Global Convention, which sold out in 72 hours, was an annual gathering of doTERRA’s Wellness Advocates and wholesale customers at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

doTERRA also made history by becoming the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ holder for the Most personal hygiene kits assembled in one hour. doTERRA smashed the previous record of 1,002 hygiene kits produced in one hour by assembling 5,110 hygiene kits in just 36 minutes. This feat was accomplished through the help of the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation®, the Days for Girls Foundation, doTERRA employees, Wellness Advocates and volunteers. These hygiene kits will provide sustainable feminine hygiene solutions to girls and women all around the world.

“The 2017 convention was a celebration of this year’s successes and an exciting glance into an even brighter future. We’re thrilled that this convention was not only a launch of inspiring new initiatives and products, but a chance for all of us to provide meaningful service together,” said David Stirling, founding executive, chairman and CEO at doTERRA. “This year’s convention ‘You’ theme speaks to what I admire most about the people of doTERRA: our love of others and commitment to share and give back. It also gave us the opportunity to thank our incredible Wellness Advocates. We could not accomplish all that we have without their continued drive to share our essential oils with the world.”

At the convention, doTERRA launched doTERRA Healthcare, a new initiative focused on helping medical providers take an integrative approach to keep their patients healthy and thriving. Through this innovative movement, doTERRA announced the groundbreaking of its flagship clinic located at doTERRA headquarters and plans to build and/or partner with integrative medical clinics around the United States.

doTERRA also announced 11 new products, including Blue Tansy, Copaiba, Siberian Fir, Jasmine TouchRose Touch, Neroli Touch and doTERRA OnGuard® Sanitizing Mist, which were included in the convention kit. Most of these essential oils are available as individual permanent products starting October 2, 2017. doTERRA also launched a new yoga collection with three unique blends to support yoga practice, a new diffuser and previewed a new essential skincare line.

All of these products are a part of doTERRA’s commitment to the purest sourcing methods. doTERRA’s Source to You™ initiative was heavily featured in the convention as an extension of its Co-Impact Sourcing. Through this initiative, doTERRA responsibly partners with growers, distillers, scientists and practitioners from all over the world to provide consumers with the most pure, potent and effective oils on Earth. doTERRA also announced its support for and featured panels and speakers from the Aromatic Plant Research Center (APRC), a state-of-the-art laboratory that utilizes a variety of methods to detect adulteration and confirm the purity and sustainability of essential oils. APRC’s executive advisory board is internationally renowned for quality control testing and expertise within the essential oil industry.

As part of the convention, doTERRA hosted a gala for 7,000 doTERRA Wellness Advocate leaders and which was free for all other attendees to livestream. This gala recognized more than 500 new Diamond and above leaders with 1,100 pounds of confetti and three purple carpets. doTERRA also welcomed decorated soldier and Iraq War veteran Dan Nevins as the convention’s keynote speaker and pop singer-songwriter Rachel Platten as its musical talent. With a focus on educational opportunities for attendees, many leading scientists, educators and influencers in the essential oil industry shared their expertise.
